2007 Club show

The Neapolitan Mastiff Club 4th Breed Open Show
Date: 14.04.2007
Judge: Anne Marie-Class.

Anne-Marie Writes: I would like to say that I was really pleased to judge in such a friendly, relaxed and fair atmosphere. It was a pleasure to have a real choice for the best dogs between several top level Neapolitan: massive, thick-set dogs, with good parallel planes of skull and muzzle, with good movements, a strong drive of the hindquarters and good reach of the forequarters. Mastino have such a beautiful expression that it is a shame when you cannot see it because of too many wrinkles as necessary and a too deeply set eye, and I meet that with several dogs of great quality otherwise. It was one of my regrets.
I was delighted with the temperament of your dogs, very friendly. Best In Show, the Bitch, was for me the better balanced between head and movement, I loved the Best Dog for his bone and substance, Reserve dog for his head and size (he still needs to mature with the body) and the Reserve Bitch for her exceptional sound movement.

Veteran D/B (1):

1st Bucknall's Blue Lagoon: 8 year old male shown in excellent condition. Nice head for age with good parallel lines and good proportions. Eye could be slightly darker. Very good body construction, excellent hind quarters and angulation. Excellent feet, excellent muscle condition for age. Very good top line which he kept on the move. Very good sound movement. Excellent temperament also. Congratulations!

Minor Puppy Dog (2) (1A):

1st Astbury's Chapi Ways Nesta: Really at the growing stage! Good size. Needs to develop more wrinkle as he matures. Very good skull, well carried ears. Correct topline for age. I hope he will form more bone and substance as he grows. Sound construction for age. Nice coat. Good movement but needs serious ring training, will need firm handling as he becomes adolescent.

Puppy Dog (3) (3A):

Junior Dog (3) (2A):

1st & BPD Treloar's Treloarneo Constantino: Masculine 9 month old baby-looking boy. Medium sized. good eyes, I would prefer a flatter skull, very good ear placement and carriage. Typical movement for a young dog which needs to tighten up.

Post Graduate Dog (5):
